“The Southern Spoon was an unexpected delight! The skillet was amazing; everything tasted so fresh. I added sausage gravy to my “All You Can Meat,” and it elevated the dish to a whole new level. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Don’t let the small roadside café setting fool you, this place is truly a hidden gem!”

“Good breakfast meet up place for friends. Nice to meet locally during Winter. We meet at about 9:30 once a month-ish to catch up with each other. Plan on spending about $15-20 food is very good and ample portions. So far eggs benedict seems to be the fave they serve a smoked salmon version of it too! Quiet enough for conversation and service is great. Kudos toTeam SS for an all around good dining experience!”

“By far the BEST breakfast in the mod west by far! Their homemade jelly is amazing and unlike any homemade jelly I've had before. The cinnamon rolls have real homemade cream cheese frosting. The potatoes are perfect, I didn't get one thing in didnt LOVE! TRY IT!!!”

Leslie was our server she did a great job and food was good so we decided to come in again the next day and request Leslie again. “I had the Slap Ya Mama breakfast, and it absolutely lived up to the name! The combination of crispy seasoned potatoes, flavorful sausage, peppers and perfectly cooked eggs was incredible. Every bite was packed with bold flavor, and the toast was the perfect addition to soak everything up. The portion size was generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast with a little kick, this is the dish to order. I'll definitely be back for it again. Highly recommend! A big shootout to Joe the cook...”

“Easily the best breakfast I’ve ever had. My wife got the biscuit breakfast sandwich which I was jealous of until I tried my biscuits and gravy. It’s not just good breakfast food, it is exceptional food in general. If breakfast restaurants can get a Michelin star, they deserve one. I also got an iced latte which was made perfectly, sometimes craft coffee at breakfast restaurants can be less than, this wasn’t the case here. This place is an absolute gem.”

My husband said his country fried steak was delicious but the breakfast potatoes were some of the best he's had! Amy was awesome and kept my coffee cup filled! Sister, kids, and I had an unexpectedly excellent breakfast here on a Saturday morning, and I immediately added it to my top breakfast restaurants (alongside Yolk in Chicago and Mason Jar in Benton Harbor). Friendly service and amazing food in a cozy setting. Definitely worth a stop!”
